About Me:

Robert Moseley, AKA "Videobob" wears many hats.
As the name suggests Videobob works in the television industry making TV commercials, Pilots, Shows and Music Videos.
Videobob has also hosted a few of these shows himself and even acted in other national TV shows .
In the late 90's Robert was chief engineer for the AIN TV network and later worked with the UATV Network.
Throughout the early 2000's Robert built custom built video production trucks and vans as well as some
interesting inventions for the video production industry.

Since 2006 Robert has been working with ex-Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul at his independent record label
"Big Vin Records" and the band "HELLYEAH" making music videos and other promotional items.
Robert tours with the band, sometimes driving the tour bus and helping to provide security.

Hobbies also include touring the country on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, building movie prop replicas,
visiting historical and tourist attractions, electronics and fine watches.

In 2003, Robert bought a 1981 DeLorean and drove it as a daily driver for about a year.
Robert introduced many innovations for DeLorean owners such as LED upgrades,
custom wire harnesses and other items for the rare cars.

In late 2003 Robert began making his first BTTF props starting with the "OUTATIME" and "2015" license plates
followed by the TFC Drive Switch and many others.
In 2004 Robert began to slowly convert his car into a time machine but didn't get into the external modifications until 2006.
Videobob is now the number one BTTF prop builder in the world!!!
Research included many trips to Universal Studios Hollywood to take photos and measurements of the actual
screen used cars and scouring the internet and vintage surplus shops to find the correct parts for the time machine.
In early 2008 Robert provided Marc's Creature Company with some props to be used in the
Universal Pictures feature film, "Super Capers".

Videobob's customers range from all over the USA, Australia, Germany the UK and all over the world!
You can be assured that the prop you purchase is made with the best quality authentic vintage materials and will look
and feel like the one's used in Hollywood!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How do you build these props?
A: I have researched the props using the movie, still photos and measurements from the real cars at Universal Studios,
using professional power tools in my machine shop I replicate each prop exactly using drill presses, bench grinders,
table saws, band saws, jig saws, welders, riveters and many other tools.

Q: How do you determine the price for your props?
A: I first figure the cost of the materials including some of the custom tooling needed to make certain props
and then calculate the cost of the man hours it takes to build each prop based on common metal shop rates.
Other props builders will gouge the prices to get as much as they can get, I try to charge what is fair.

Q: How can I pay for these props?
A: If you have a confirmed US Paypal account, you may use your credit card with Paypal using my shopping cart
or send to my email address at videobob@hotmail.com.
If you are outside of the US you will need to send me a Western Union.
All fees, duties, tariffs and international shipping will be incurred by the buyer.

Q: How long will it take to get my props?
A: If the part is already built it will go out the next day, however some props are custom made and require special orders
and can take 4-6 weeks to complete. We will let you know what the ETA is of each part.
If you have a special dead line please let us know!

Q: Will you build my time machine for me?
A: Sure, if you want to have your DeLorean delivered to me here in Fort Worth, Texas I can do a full
conversion on your car for you. Most conversions will run about $25,000 in total but can vary up or down
depending on how accurate and functional you want the car to be.
Turnkey cars start at $50,000

Q: Do you sell the metal vents that fit on the back of the car?
A: No, they are too big to package and ship, however you can have them fabricated and TIG welded locally.
As a customer of mine, I will send you the plans and schematics so you can build them or have them built for you.

Q: Do you sell the metal pipes and grids that wrap around the car?
A: Unfortunately, no. These are something that must be done on the car, custom.
There are no plans for these, you simply need to get a professional electrical contractor who is
skilled at bending pipe and conduit to bend the pipes for you using photos as a reference so they
will meet up with the flux fender boxes and mounting brackets.

Q: Do you sell the "time circuits" that sit in the middle of the dash with the dates on it?
A: At this time I don't have them listed on the site, but I do have a few sets in the work.
They will only be available as part of a packaged kit. Please contact me for more info.

Q: How much power do these props consume? Will they kill my battery?
A: Most of the lights used in all these props are LED and use very little power. They all run from 12 volts DC.
For instance, I can power all of the props in my car from a single cigarette lighter plug!
You can run all the props all day and night for shows and not kill your battery.

Q: How do I mount the parts to the car?
A: You can use 3M VHB tape to adhear some parts, or use glues and epoxies but some parts will best be mounted
when bolted directly to the car which will require some drilling into the stainless and fiberglass.
Unless you are planning on unconverting the car back to it's original state you might as well do it right the first time.
Consider that a BTTF Time Machine is worth twice the value of the average DeLorean.
Time Machine conversions usually sell for $50K - $60K

Q: What happened to the user forum that used to be on the site?
A: I had to take the forum down because of the excessive spam and trouble makers that over run the forum.
I may re-create it and put a new one up some day but for now it will remain down

Q: Are these props legal? Will I get sued by Universal?
A: The DeLorean is a real car, the props are made from off the shelf parts, how do you trade mark existing items?
Universal has a very relaxed attitude towards it's BTTF fans. The movie franchise is dead with no chance of returning.
With the exception of pirating their movies they don't seem to have an issue with fans making and enjoying the props.
To date, no fans have ever been sued or asked to "cease and dissist" making, selling or displaying these props.
As a matter of fact, Universal actually purchased props from me to be used in their new movie, "Super Capers"
which features a spoof of the DeLorean Time Machine.

Q: But I have heard rumours of Paramount / Warner Brothers suing Batmobile owners....
A: There is a distinct difference between the Time Machine and the Batmobile, there is no such thing as a Batmobile
and it must be created from scratch, therefore Paramount has been known to harass people who build replicas
and advertise the replica as a "Batmobile", however the Time Machine is just a DeLorean with some stuff added ;>
